S5E36 Eight Point Gaps

Was this the decisive weekend in the Premiership? Krys is joined by John and Andy this week to discuss the big games at the top and the bottom of the top division.

Prior to that we look down the pyramid to the Lowland and Highland Leagues, with one clinched and one just about there, as well as the team they might face from League Two now decided too. At the other end of League Two, it’s looking all done and dusted for top spot but the playoffs are still as tight as they can be. League One’s relegation positions are almost as tight, with Airdrieonians in particular still in the hunt for both promotion and relegation!

In the Championship, Hibernian’s awful form continues while Rangers have clinched a Championship and Challenge Cup double since the last podcast. The three teams in the promotion playoff are now confirmed, but the order could still be a crucial factor in seeing who goes on to face Premiership opposition.

With the split in the Premiership now upon us, there’s disappointment at the lack of derbies – although one could be crucially timed depending on the fixture computer that hasn’t churned out its results at time of recording. There’s also a look ahead to the Scottish Cup semi finals and no one has any idea who will come out on top of either of them… but it won’t be the Hampden pitch that’s for sure.

Thanks as always to McBookie for providing the stakes in our charity bet. No luck this weekend as for bursting wins ruined most of our picks. Hopefully more luck this weekend.
