S9E13 Stick a Fork in Me (I’m Done)

It’s the regular trio as the two John’s and Krys are on.

They start off by trying to avoid the football chat.

We give a shout out again to our guest from last week Aaron whose Fauldhouse United team advanced in the Back Onside derby. Filthy John covers some of the other Junior Cup results.

It’s the Glasgow and Edinburgh teams who advanced to the semis. The two John’s aren’t too keen to talk about what happened in the cup.

The Premiership saw Celtic drop their first points of the season. We discuss the poll we ran from the last few days with regards to McInnes and fan views on whether he should stay.

We move on to the lower league and debate whether Shankland may get called up for the Scotland squad.

Congratulations to Glasgow City who advanced to the last 16 of the Champions League and are on the verge of clinching their 13th league title in a row.

We finish off by talking about the upcoming European games.

Thanks as always for listening.

S9E12 Back Onside Derby

The two John’s are joined by Aaron Connolly ahead of his team’s Junior Cup tie this weekend. His team Fauldhouse United play Carnoustie Panmure in the Back Onside derby.

Aaron kicks us off by talking about the upcoming game and how things have been going this season. He also lets us know how Carnoustie get involved with Back Onside.

Friday night saw the First Round game between Kelty Hearts and Auchinleck Talbot on BBC Scotland. It was expected to be a tough tie but Talbot went through comfortably.

This leads us on to the Lower League chat with Talbot drawing Cove Rangers in the next round of the Scottish Cup in a repeat of their tie last season.

Good John leads us with a tribute to Fernando Ricksen who sadly passed away last week.

This leads us on to Europa League chat with both teams getting positive results.

We start off the Premiership chat with Sunday’s games. The top two both won comfortably after struggling a bit earlier on.

The podcast concludes with our #pickitoot winner and a preview of League Cup quarter finals.

Thanks again to Aaron for coming on and good luck for Saturday.

Thanks as always for listening.

S9E11 Bobby Linn’s a Dustman

It’s a busy podcast tonight as the regular trio of the two John’s and Krys are on. They’re joined by Lewis.

We start off by talking about the two Edinburgh clubs as Lewis is a Hibs fan. He tells us what’s gone wrong this season and what he expects to happen this Sunday.

In the other half of Edinburgh, it’s going even worse with Hearts failing to win a league game this season. Can Levein avoid sacking himself?

We cover the rest of the games in the Premiership where Celtic continued their unbeaten start.

The chat moves on the Championship and starts with the game on Friday night where there was a questionable offside decision. Ayr won the top of the table clash with McCall having a sly dig at Dundee United.

The other leagues are covered in terms of who is doing well and who is struggling.

We move on to the Europa League group stages which starts on Thursday and sees two Scottish teams in it. The guys discuss whether they want to see both teams do well in terms of the coefficient.

The chat leads on to the Scottish Cup at the weekend, leading with the Friday night TV game between Kelty Hearts and Auchinleck Talbot.

We finish off with Jason Cummings declaring that he might opt to play for Australia and some other random stuff.

Well done to Aaron who continues to do well with Fauldhouse United.

Thanks as always for listening.

S9E10 I Am Not Jolly

The two John’s are joined by Iain from the Famous Tartan Army magazine. You can find it online at www.tartanarmymagazine.com

Unfortunately as it tend to be recently with Scotland games there is doom and gloom. We went in to the games low on confidence and things haven’t improved. The guys go over the two games with them not having much positive to say.

Iain promotes the latest edition of the magazine and tells us about what is featured.

The two John’s cover the Challenge Cup which saw a few games go to penalties. They agree that the competition has lost some of its appeal with clubs competing from other parts of the UK.

We give special mention to friend of the podcast Aaron Connolly who scored at the weekend. His team Fauldhouse United sit top of the East Region Superleague currently.

Good John finishes us off with a preview of the upcoming action that takes place starting on Friday.

Thanks as always for listening.

S9E9 Happy With 6 and 9

Good John returns to join John and Krys on the podcast this week.

We start off with the news of both Scottish teams advancing through to the group stages of the Europa League. This leads on to us talking about their chances of advancing further.

There was two Friday night games in the Championship where 13 goals were scored. It’s not often you watch a game with 5 goals in it and have envious glances to other game.

The lower league chat continues as we include the Highland and Lowland leagues which leads nicely on to chat about Scottish Cup draw.

The Premiership chat involves a bit of yellow tie chat as it’s deadline day with a few deals being done as we record. Comical defending is a feature of the chat and there is even some praise for a referee.

We finish off with some Scotland chat after the women did so well against Cyprus. Let’s hope the men can surprise us in their double header.

Thanks as always for listening.
