S7E24 Boyd Did They Deliver

It’s the two John’s for the last podcast of 2017.

The charity bets were unsuccessful as Ayr let us down on our treble. The other bet saw our pick score but not first.

There is plenty of Premiership action to discuss as there has been two sets of fixtures since we were last on air. I know there was Celtic’s game against Partick Thistle too.

Since their domestic unbeaten run was ended, Celtic have recovered to take nine points out of nine and have three clean sheets. Hearts have stretched their unbeaten run to eight games with five consecutive clean sheets. That should have ended in the Edinburgh derby with the ‘goal’ that wasn’t given. Aberdeen have found a bit more consistency since McInnes confirmed he was staying with only one loss against Celtic being a setback. Rangers continue to be inconsistent as they lost to Kilmarnock. The Ayrshire side have been transformed under Clarke and have won three home games in a row for the first time in almost ten years. St Johnstone’s form has improved but they still haven’t won at home since September. That will be something they will look to rectify.

Predictions are made for the last Premiership games of 2017.

The last charity bets of the year are chosen. Thanks as always to McBookie for providing us with the free bets.

S7E23 Winter of 69

It’s not the three wise men tonight, instead you’ve got John, John B and Aidan.

There is good news to start with as we won our treble bet to take us above £500 for the season so far.

Aidan joins us in the week that Celtic’s run of unbeaten games stopped at 69 with a right good pumping. We need to thank Krys for that (the quote, not the pumping).

Aberdeen continued their fine form since McInnes confirmed he was staying. Hibs have a had a bad week. Kilmarnock won back to back games at home while St Johnstone overturned Rangers at Ibrox.

Predictions are made and charity bets chosen. Thanks as always to McBookie.

Hope all our listeners have a great Christmas. We hope to be on next week but it will be later than normal. Keep an eye on @sffpodcast on Twitter.

S7E22 Concomitant on the Fence

John is joined by John B as they discuss the recent events in Scottish football.

Both charity bets were unsuccessful as we picked the wrong Ayr player to score first and Motherwell let us down.

Celtic found out who they’ve been drawn against in Europa League as they face a tough contest against Zenit of Russia.

McInnes deciding to stay shocked most of us though for the two John’s, it was a pleasant surprise. Aberdeen can now focus on what goes on on the field and got back to winning ways.

Rangers came out with an absurd statement which led to our podcast title. They managed to win again though ahead of a busy period coming up.

Kilmarnock won their first game at home in the league and St Johnstone brought a halt to their poor run of form.

Predictions are made and charity bets chosen. Thanks as always to McBookie for your support.

S7E21 Made a Tait of Himself

John is joined by Krys and John B as they discuss an eventful week in Scottish football.

We are recording on Tuesday where there has been a fair bit to talk about. Rangers have approached McInnes about their vacant management job while Celtic had their final Champions League game of the season.

We won both charity bets so are now over £400 for the season.

The double header between Aberdeen and Rangers takes up the majority of the chat due to the McInnes situation.

Celtic’s unbeaten run almost came to an end last midweek but they got another penalty…

The weekend action is Premiership is reviewed with Dundee and Hamilton continuing their decent form.

Predictions are made and charity bets chosen. There is a even a bit of pie chat and an m & m bet. Thanks as always to McBookie.
