S6E11 Weekend Long Semi

John is joined by Hamish and John B to discuss the week gone by. The focus is on the semi final action from the weekend.

Once again, the charity bets were unsuccessful but Hamish assures us he has a few bankers.

Celtic followed their draw against Manchester City in the Champions League with a draw at home to Borussia Monchengladbach. The guys discuss what this means for Celtic going forward in Europe.

The two best teams in Scotland advanced in the League Cup. Both games are discussed with. Saturday’s game saw Aberdeen advance. Derek McInnes once again has positive things to say about Aberdeen with a belief through the squad that an era of success lies ahead. In the other semi, Celtic won narrowly however it didn’t tell the full story.

The Aberdeen v Celtic league game is previewed which will obviously be a dress rehearsal for cup final.

The podcast ends with usual predictions and charity bet choices. Thanks again to McBookie.

S6E10 Return of the Bet King

John is joined by Hamish and John B to discuss the week gone by in Scottish football. There is also the usual preview of the week ahead.

The charity bets were once again unsuccessful so we’re hoping the return of Hamish can give us at least one winner.

The Scotland match is discussed with there being little to get excited about unfortunately.

Rangers win over Inverness on Friday starts the review of Premiership fixtures with Craig’s hero getting the winner. Hamish discusses what is happening at Hearts with their strike force struggling to click. The two John’s are happy to report on another Aberdeen victory ahead of the weekend League Cup fixtures.

Aberdeen’s recent record in semi finals is mentioned. Hamish is confident that Aberdeen can progress. The other semi is mentioned too with agreement that Celtic should emerge victorious.

The podcast concludes with Premiership predictions and the picks for the charity bet.

S6E9 Oops, I Hibsed It (Again)

It’s the John show again as John is joined by John B.

The podcast starts with the charity bet chat and another case of Hibs runing a chance of a win. Our FGS bet was unsuccessful too so hopefully we can get better luck this week.

The situation at St Mirren is discussed with Jack Ross moving there as manager from Alloa. Is it too early for him or will he be successful?

The experiment of inviting Northern Irish and Welsh teams to Challenge Cup is given some discussion. Is it something that should be persevered with?

There is frustration as the chat moves on to Scotland and the inability to win. Will the team change much for Slovakia and what result is required to help keep us in with a chance of qualification?

There are Premiership predictions which leads us in to picking our charity bets. Thanks once again to McBookie for continuing to provide us with the charity bets.

S6E8 Meat pies and sausage rolls

After an unwelcome break, we’re back. John is joined by…John B. We like to confuse you. We’ve recorded more than a new band in last couple weeks. Let’s hope this one is a hit.

In the charity bet, the FGS bet was unsuccessful and the treble was let down by Hibs who….well you know.

The guys start off the review by examining Celtic’s effort against Man City where an unexpected point was gained.

The Maddison love continues as John declares his love for him. John B loves him too. Who doesn’t?

The turmoil at Kilmarnock is discussed and what their future may be.

Rangers got back to winning ways and Hearts put in one of their more impressive performances.

John B talks about how much he ‘likes’ Hutton who has withdrawn from Scotland squad. The guys preview the Lithuania match with them giving Strachan some tactical advice.

The charity bet will be decided this week so check on @sffpodcast on twitter to see where to not put your money on.

Thanks for listening and send us any feedback you want.
