S4E29 Sing Song Ding Dong

John, Krys and I are on this week, with Greig sitting out due to giving up with football.

The main items discussed are:

  • Dodgy singing at football
  • Celtic in Europe
  • Raith Rovers vs Rangers
  • Premiership reviews
  • Premiership preview
  • an important game on Sunday
  • McBookie charity bet

Declan McManus of Morton is our first scorer charity bet. Inverness, Queen’s Park and Airdrieonians are the treble pick. £10 on the treble returns £50 exactly at the moment.

Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

S4E28 Welcome to hell

I start the podcast with a little positivity, despite Rangers being beaten 2-0 by Hibs. John goes on to be positive about a positive result (from Aberdeen), which is not the SFF podcast theme this week.

Greig proves he is the romantic in the team.

Despite me being all for welcoming foreign football teams to our country and perhaps allowing them use of training facilities ;), John has a different tact.

Alcohol at football is a hot topic once again, and we all seem generally in favour, but realise the potential pitfalls. Greig’s main concern is that they might sell Carling at Fir Park.

It wasn’t easy, but we persuaded Greig that Celtic -4 wasn’t a good idea for the McBookie charity bet. Instead we went for Brechin, Dundee United and Motherwell/Dundee BTTS, which returns £60.50 for a tenner. We stick with Jamie Longworth as he delivered this past weekend.

And Celtic have a European game on Thursday against Internatio, Internazio, Inter Milan. Did I mention that it was on the telly?

Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

S4E27 Scottish Cup and proving intent

It was Scottish Cup weekend for 16 Scottish clubs this past weekend, with 3 of the games on the telly. John and Krys join me to discuss the games.

Amongst other things, we discuss proving intent when it comes to malicious offences like stamping on an opponent. It’s an interesting topic to some, but not to Jonathan Sutherland who thinks we should just use our eyes.

In addition we have some good news for the charity bet. I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but there might have been a very large addition to the prize pot.

This weekend’s @McBookie charity bet is a double on Dundee Utd and Inverness. £10 on that returns £40.43 at the time of recording.

Jamie Longworth is our choice for first scorer since he has to make up for letting us down the last time.

Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

S4E26 Greig’s in talks with a rival podcast

It’s transfer deadline day and Greig is missing, presumably in talks with another podcast.

1-1 draws, transfers, semi finals, naughty songs, crap pitches, bawbags, cola, Prem predictions and of course the charity bet, all feature.

Declan McManus is our pick for the first scorer charity bet this weekend. We have also went for a treble of Aberdeen, Hearts and Morton.

Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.
